Lindsay Lohan has been caught up in the riddle of a ,000 fur coat, which went missing from a birthday party in a New York bar.

Masha Markova claims her blond mink jacket vanished when she tried to retrieve it from a bundle of coats at trendy nightspot 1 Oak, where she was celebrating the birthday of a friend on January 26.

Two weeks later she spotted Lohan, who was also present at the birthday party, wearing an identical garment in the pages of a celebrity magazine in photographs taken the same night the coat went missing.

Markova tells the New York Post, “It was my coat. It was no doubt.”

Markova instructed her lawyer to threaten to legal action the actress. Soon after, she was contacted by bosses at 1 Oak, who then returned the item, without explanation, smelling of alcohol and cigarette smoke and with a tear in the lining.

Although she cannot prove Lohan is responsible for “borrowing” the coat, Markova is demanding a ,000 fee for the rental. She says, “I don’t see how it could have been an accident.”

Lohan’s spokesperson has yet to respond to the New York Post report.

Wow. Just wow. So Lindsay Lohan is now working in a morgue as part of her misdemeanor for drunk driving. This girl really has a body for miles. I bet dead people just roll over in their coffins. Can a dead guy get an erection? Riley Giles really screwed himself by never picking up tabs. Man, I would sport for Chiles in a heartbeat if it meant tapping this fine piece of a**.

She openly states her fears and problems she faced in the past and her experiences as a rehab patient.

In terms of her well-chronicled, pre-rehab hard-partying ways, “I had a lot going on in my life and that was a way of hiding from it,” she explains. “I hadn’t seen my dad; I had a lot of work stress ’cause I was constantly working and never took time to stop.”

(She now considers the reconciliation with father Michael Lohan, who had spent two years behind bars on a DUI and additional charges, “good for my whole family; it’s healthy.”)

“Everything was go-go-go, and the easiest thing was to run away from it, going out and drinking at night,” she says. “You know, you don’t have to think when you let go sometimes.”

She adds, “But I didn’t realize it was getting in the way of my work – what I’ve worked for my whole life.”

That changed: “There’s not really much else to do when you’re sitting in a treatment center. It’s like, ‘Why am I here? Let’s think,’ ” she concedes.

“Right now I just want to find a great script, a great role,” says Lohan about the future. “I was so used to working and working and working, and for a good few months there was nothing for me to do. Now I know what it’s like to be an out-of-work actor, and how much it scares me.”

Lohan states that she has had a very tough time and is working hard and swears that she will not get back to her old ways.

Lindsay Lohan’s mom, Dina, was spotted in New York yesterday with designer, Doug Wilson (”Moving Up” and “Trading Spaces”) who she has commissioned to do the interiors for Lindsay’s new, post-rehab apartment. I hope it turns out well. I wasn’t always a fan of Doug’s work on “Trading Spaces.”
